QR Codes Are Outdated and Nobody Uses Them Anymore

This week I’m talking about QR codes. Now before you roll your eyes back and think no one uses them (as the misconception), I’m telling you now they are a great way of bringing the offline online and being able to track offline activities as I referenced in episode 11 “tagging and tracking offline activities”.

And, to say, QR codes are something we implemented last year as a business to use instead of business cards. As a reminder too, to “read’ a quick code, you no longer need a special app or anything, if you own a smartphone just open the camera app (not in portrait mode) and hover it over the image, you will see a suggest link come up on your screen, that’s the URL.

You can create your own QR code for free in Canva in the section “apps” and then search for “qr code” – the app created by Canva themselves requires no subscription or membership.

If you are interested to see the QR code I showed on screen during this video, you can view it more “static” on Instagram, and yes you can scan it and see what happens.
