AI can give me all the answers, I don’t need to ask my customers for feedback any more

Listen or Watch on

There is a growing belief that with the rise of AI, businesses can skip the time-consuming task of asking customers for feedback. The myth is that AI tools can give you all the answers you need, replacing the voice of the customer. In this episode I challenge that thinking and show why relying only on AI insights is a dangerous shortcut.

AI is powerful. It can analyse market data, highlight patterns, track sentiment across social media, and process information faster than any person could. But AI cannot replace the context, emotion, or lived experience that comes directly from customers. Customer feedback is more than data points. It tells you how people feel, what frustrates them, what delights them, and what they wish you would do better.

I explain how blending AI insights with customer feedback gives the strongest advantage. You get the speed and breadth of AI paired with the depth and nuance of human voices. That means running market research, collecting reviews, conducting interviews, and using surveys alongside AI-powered tools for social listening and trend spotting.

The most successful businesses do not choose one over the other. They know AI can guide, but customers confirm. Together, customer feedback and AI insights create a clearer picture and a stronger foundation for decisions.
